Food was lovely, big portions so you definitely get your money's worth. I think they are doing some renovations so we weren't in the restaurant more a bar area but the service was great and so was the food.

Location,services,room, and meals were spot on All the staff was very helpful and definitely made me and my Dad comfortable. If you are visiting Christchurch. Craythorne's public house should be on your checklist. Nice work, Team 👍🏾

I am rating the restaurant here. It was like heading back to the 80s in "lounge bar" in somewhere like Gore. We are not their target demographic. But putting that aside the staff were friendly and knew the regulars. Service was good and the food was cheap, tasty, and cheerful. For the people we saw in there this was perfect for them and for that I am giving them a 5.

Travel down from wellington alot for work staff is amazing food on point

Kia Ora, my husband Pat and I are new to this side of town, and went to check this place out, we had a beautiful dinner. The food and staff ticked all the boxes for the right reason, everyone from staff to the regulars were absolutely friendly and welcoming. To top it off, we will be back this Sunday to have breakfast and watch the World Cup with Karl and Vicki, who kindly invited us to join them at their table on Sunday. Amazing food, exceptional service, very reasonable prices! I got the Southern Fried Chicken, and my friend got the Chicken Schnitzel. Both awesome meals. Would recommend!

Excellent service, good food, friendly staff

Restaurant was empty on a wet Sunday lunch but we were pleasantly surprised by the food and exceptional friendly service by Kelly. We had the roast pork and it was delicious with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables and plenty of gravy. The garlic and cheese loaf took a while to arrive but wow it was freshly cooked and crunchy and well received by our table. Kelly recommended the sticky date pudding and it did not disappoint. Good selection on the menu and we will be back. The refurbishment can’t come soon enough I’m sure but it shouldn’t put people off trying this local while we wait for great changes. Oh and the prices were very reasonable $40 each for three courses. Thank you Kelly and Hannah

Rooms very nice and warm. Pub downstairs always busy but have good food. Quiz nights every Tuesday is very popular.

Great location for us

Chicken in the burger was amazing. Steak eggs and chips was cooked perfectly. Both good sized portions, we left feeling full. Also stayed at the motel attached and it was up to date and fairly priced. Great service on both sides.

It was really nice to go back to the place that I used to drink at. It brought back memories. unfortunately, the restaurant part was closed due to upcoming renovations, and so we ate in the sports bar. The food was good but really the menu wasn't that expensive.

Just stopped the one night, reception was via the bar. Where I was quickly shown to my room. The room was spotless and had everything needed for the stay. Tea and coffee, fridge large on suite with nice big shower. Bed was very comfortable, and the room was a good size with plenty of storage and table space. Given the rooms condition in guessing they have recently been refurbished.

We have had weekend lunch here a few times now. Good decent pub meal.

Popped in for a drink. Friendly staff cold beer. Great. Sport on TV. Pokies took my money! But we will be back to win another time! Cheers

Food is good, layout with the renovations is a bit lacking. Also most of the options were out of stock. What we had ended up being nice

My husband and I went there for a pub meal and it was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Worth a try. Parking is excellent
